Hey guys, saw u at livewire. u guys were simply gr8 and kicked some real ass. i've got a suggestion 4 u guys. why don't u try playing ozzy at a few gigs. i am sure u'll be good at it. u've got astounding vocals, two stunning guitarists, one gr8 bassist, and a cool list of songs u perform. u should definitely cover ozzy numbers. i am dead sure u'll rock the place.

Parikama the predictable !!Parikrama needs a change and we need a change !! As my other frineds said ...the same old lineup of songs.. that dosent mean we ask u do sumtin way out of the world like "Metallica" ..which was a nice try !! We expect parikrama to do what it is best at ...Floyd,AC/DC,pearljam...but know we can easily precdict which songs u are gonna play..i know its difficult to work out new songs each time but then, Difficult-parikrama????? naaahhh !!! i just love d u r new song and the video is Awesome !!Just hoping and praying that u can do some more songs of these kind !! parikrama rawks and still kicks ass !!

Hi folks, Saw you at mood-i and guess i ended up with mixed feelings. U see, i've been kinda following you guys for the past 4-5 years. And i was... how do i put it?, say, - dejected as well as happy Happy coz the past few years have been bad for the indian rock (in fact global too) scene. Yet u've stood ur ground, without any deviations ( except for 'i disappear' at i-rock ). But still i feel something amiss this all, something missing. no new stuff????, same old line-up, same 'sweet child of mine', luckily ' shine on u ... 1-5' was good. yet i somehow feel that either the fire is dwindling or u guys are hesitating to improvise. WHY? WHY?? WHY-Oh-WHY????? come on guys, u know u r technically and musically much more talented and stronger than u potray ur-selves these days. i sincerely ( read - pray) hope the next time around i hear u guys, i get some change please, for the sake of parikrama and for the sake of Indian Rock - IMPROVISE and comeout with MORE of ur own stuff. I guess i've siad more than i should, --signing off, Karthik ( an ardent Floyd/Waters fan, gilmour followers: good-bye blue sky).

Hey Antond, Would like to clarify a few things. To start with, when we talk about hindi music , we refer to POPULAR hindi music, not classical or folk music. And what has using indian instruments got anything to do with popular hindi music? (Incedentally it was only one instument, singular, the tabla.) The way you make it to be, the tabla is the prerogative of popular hindi music. As far as Indus Creed is concerned, it was a rock band, not a metal one, read ROCK. About the guitarists in this fair country of ours, if you've ever witnessed any of the better known guitarists in the major bands perform, take the guitarists in Parikrama for example, you have to agree with me when I say that they are good by any standards set (local or international). That they may not have achieved International acclaim for their skills can be attributed completely to the fact that they have not received enough of the right kind of exposure owing to the musical (sic!) taste of the larger Indian people. Get my drift?

does the addition of a tabla and a volin give you a distinct sound ?, well shakti had a mclauglin ... anyway it takes balls to stick to something for ten years even a rock band, well! the rest as zen says "a good traveller does not know where he's headed but the perfect traveller does not know where he came from"

Parikrama... You guys are GOOD. You guys rock, all the way. It's great to see a band of your calibre stick together for all these years and mature along the way, your act becoming classier every time you perform. The music scene here in India can drive one to tears, but then we see guys like you performing, guys who know what music is all about, and then we know in our hearts that... ROCK LIVES, FOREVER.

Hi ANTOND ... (i hope you can read) ... cos' u'd better get ready to have u'reself anally assaulted. Listen up limpdick shithead, "Why does Euphoria have to play sellout music ?". To THE PARIKRAMA again from their crazy fan!! Believe me when I say that you guys are gonna make it BIG,REAL BIG!!The prob with the majority of the Indian ppl is that they appreciate junk like "POP" and silly bhangra songs woth the kudi and munda crap!! Moreover the ppl are crazy for good for nothin' BOYBANDS which suck big time!! Its gonna be a long long way b4 Indians finally realise the value of groups like YOU AND PENTAGRAM! Hi guys, today's the 29th of dec'01, if you remember, the day you performed at IITB. I was there, and to sum it up in a line, you gave me a night to remember for the rest of my life. Particularly I loved your pink floyd numbers ( would have loved to hear comfortably numb though), also freebird and pretty much everything else you did, the rock and roll numbers were a treat too. Originals were too good. Thanks again. shome.

Abbe Keith- Chutiye-Come down to your fuckall desi inferiority complex i see- what did i say, and what reply did i get- see everyone ? - it proves my point well- See- now everone tell me- if everyone hates hindi music- which is our national langauage you slaves- why did PARIKRAMA-HAVE to use indian instruments in its numbers- also indus creed-if youre such major rockers- play pure unadulterated metal- whatever that means. As for you Keith- fucking chutiye, angrez ke aulad- show me a good guitar player of intrnational standards in this country- not your fuckall ignorance- because whenever you open your fuckall hole of a mouth- youre validating everything i say- so please- talk facts -not fiction out of your fucked do kaudi ka slave philosophy- Peace.

You're the gr8test Indian rock band and probably the only one surviving for a decade. You deserve every bit of it. Love ur voice Nitin, and all the rest of u too are simply amazing. I admit I've just started listening to you a couple of months ago,I'm an ardent fan. The new video is superb, its poignancy is felt, the video, shot in Manalli, is breathtaking. The song too, esp. the ending and the guitar are fantabulous! I wish I could be in ur band, and run my fingers with ease on that ol' guitar. Keep it up!

You guys really rock!I feel you'll have proved to be a corner stone in opening up the contemporary mind of the Indian listener to Indian rock music, thus giving it the much needed boost. I like most of your songs especially Rythem&Blues,Whiskey Blues and But it rained.I must say that your latest track "but it rained" is truly exceptional coupled with a fantastic video. I feel the USP's of your band are the electrifying leads, inovativeness(Violin&Mridungum),quality artists and most of all - the INDIANESS! Keep rocking guys!!

I would like to download the video of the recent song called "But it rained". It would be convinient for me and others to download the video if the web master or any other guy host it and post the url and add it in the guest book. I would like to know which other artists play the way in which the lead guitar was played in the song but it rained. I can think of amazing from aerosmith. But the style in which the lead guitar was played in the end of the song but it rained partially matches to aero ??Do you guys know any other bands with such styles ?

Hello again- Man- the response has been over whelming- but hello- I got positive response- Think Ive put the point across- The day- we get some amount of respectability into the scene- by way of superior artistry in performance- will be the red letter day of indian (western) rock music. Hello Keith- my friend and fellow brother indian- i think euphoria (some songs) and junoon are really good bands- junnons better- but hello why are you supporting our identity crisis laden youth- man if youre so rockish- why dont you pick up a friggin guitar and prove me wrong- by action- because words will only prove to me that Im right. Incidentally I was part of a band that won MOOD I when you were in your chaddis keith- Can sense really prevail here or do i see a major colonial hangover- ?

Hi Guys i.e. Parikrama ... damn ! i've seen you guys on stage. If you guys remember "Celesta" , the inter school Rock Competetion that used to happen some time ago, u guys performed there. You guys rocked :o). Kepp Rock Alive guys and i hope you dont come up with some crap like "Hind Rock" if u know who i'm referring to. C ya then guys, oh and My name's Keith and i'm 23 if u wanna know , take care.

Hello there Parikrama- Nice song -but this goes out to all "metal heads" or "rockers" or shit like that in this country. Tell me my moronic tribe- why is it that when Indian bands perviously did millions of concerts -and then released an album- they flopped- agni, brahma you name it. I mean who cares about brown skinned rockers like parikrama who are proclaiming what major"rockers and westener type" they are- actually theyre right- because theyre only rock stars according to them selves and firangi minded indians- but by no measure are they rock artistes- they dont have the skill level or the creativity to ever reach there. So what rocker and what band someone pls explain , not to me but themselves. And then we criticize bands like euphoria- give them a fuckin break yar- theyre trying to do something indian which which appeals to all indians- rather theyre better- because theyre presenting a format of music western in nature- through an indian perspective; Again then-helllo- i think palash sucks but lets admit it- the band is good. Of course they cant hold up a candle to junoon )how many moronic identity crisis laden indians know that salman ahmed (guitarist of junoon idiots) is the only asian guitar player to be specially featured on guitarplayer magazine- something that NONE of our"rock stars" can proclaim- or for that matter an adnan sami, who according to a BBC broadcast is one of the most influential piano players ofour time. So before you go ahead and bash my head in- Think- AND tell me if im wrong- who cares if youre parikrama,or sceptre or brahma or zero or every mothers nightmare or any shitty rock band- im asking- do you have what it takes to be a true rock artiste- and not just a friggin long haired moronic looking half baked guitar player, musician proclaiming his/her western values- while the west just looks at you as "items of amusement"- withoutthe respect of a usician. Hello- can someone make some changes in this colonialist hangover'ed country ???

great show folks, this is the first time i've seen an indian band live and you sure were great. Too bad you guys couldn't have played longer but it was still helluva fun. ( some beer would have been great too ) . Kudos for playing Deep Purple, Led Zep, Floyd , AcCa DaCca - including some whitesnake/poison/gn'r/Lyn Skyn/Chuck Berry etc would have been fantasic - but enough about that - You guys simply rocked !!! Your own stuff is damned neat as well - write some more stuff ...and how about an album guys ? Hope you put on another show soon in Del... keep on rockin' freedom

Hello Parikrama guys, you ppl are amazing. India Rocks - B'lore was the first time I have seen you guys. You guys are good on stage. Your own comps have a solid taste of rock 'n roll in it. Keep up the good work guys and make India proud. To all those guys who criticize and spit on musicians for not being creative enough - I have read a lot about Parikrama not being creative enuff. I beg to differ as these guys seem to put their soul into their music. Keep rockin'...if you guys have an album, please take steps to promote it in S. India. Chennai has a lot of bands and laymen who love stuff that you guys play live. I think that ppl in the south will like your own comps. Do some shows in Chennai dudes!!!.....

Hi guys, I just recently found your website (sorry it took so long), and listening to the music really brings back the days of Mood Indigo and Indi Rock. Anyway...wanted to tell you about a showcasing of bands that happens in Austin, TX. We have a media festival ever March, called South by South West (www.sxsw.com). It has tonnes of bands trying to make it big playing gigs over a period of 4-5 days. Established acts such as the Black Crowes also play. However, this is an excellant opportunity to get picked up by recording labels who send scouts down during this time. I dont know if you have heard of this band called Five for Fightitng (it isnt exactly your type of music), but a friend and I watched them at SXSW and a couple of months later they had a contract and were making videos, etc. I think it would really be worth your while to apply to them. Go to the webpage for details (www.sxsw.com). I dont know how much they pay (or even if they do pay), but if you dont mind sofas and slleping bags, I can make arrangements for you to stay while you are here. Lemme know if anyhting comes of it. All the best.

hi parikrama, how r u guys out there?u r really cool.i had never imagined any indians creating so wnderful rock songs.but there r some things u i think should take care of.as i already saw ur guest book,i could see that there r many people really crazy about u,so i think u must broden the range of ur songs.u have created very few songs in comparison to other rock bands.maybe that is because u have just started not long time ago,but do take care of that.one more thing,u mar be more famous if there r some cds or cassetes of urs.that would become easy for more of the peaple to listen to ur music as it is not possible for every one to download ur music.its takes a lot of time. thats all for now.i will surely write again.
